MedAssets, Inc. (Nasdaq: MDAS) announced that Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana, signed an expanded multi-year agreement to include MedAssets’ claims management solution.
Ochsner Health System includes seven hospitals, a sub-acute facility, and 33 health centers located throughout Southeast Louisiana. The original relationship with MedAssets began in 2005 with the implementation of specific supply chain and revenue management solutions.
The MedAssets claims management solution, Xclaim, gained the Category Leader ranking in Revenue Cycle – Claims Management Software in KLAS’ 2007 Best in KLAS Top 20 Report for the second year in a row. Xclaim was originally developed by Xactimed, a company acquired by MedAssets in 2007.
