Healthcare eligibility experts TT&W, announced the release of its Patient Relationship Management system (PRM), a unique Web-based workflow and data management system. PRM applies customized business rules and state-of-the-industry contact management methodologies to drive faster resolution of hospital patients’ eligibility for Medicaid, SSI/Disability and other means of financial aid.
TT&W’s PRM technology offers a distinct performance advantage in the time-sensitive domain of Medicaid eligibility by consistently managing patient cases at the highest levels of efficiency and quality. TT&W patient representatives’ workflow is managed, while a number of other tasks are automated including document management, faxing, and patient and social worker contact. Furthermore, hospitals can monitor the status of work being performed, obtain real-time reports, as well as access the system’s comprehensive database and integrate it with their existing financial applications.
“We expect that the use of this proven technology in conjunction with our methodologies and unique patient-facing HealthAid™ program will result in more and faster approvals and revenue for our customers,” said Mark Rapoport, TT&W President and CEO. “And, ultimately, revenue is how our customers measure our performance.”
“While we understand that ours is a business that depends on personal contact, there are many established communication techniques that we can apply,” said Earnest Farley, TT&W Senior Vice-President-Operations. “The more we can do to organize and support our reps, the better they can leverage the important patient interaction elements of their jobs to pursue a faster resolution to a patient’s eligibility.” Farley also noted that in addition to Web-based training and a user certification program, TT&W has in place an extensive ongoing quality assurance program that features remote monitoring.
In addition to its Medicaid eligibility functions, Rapoport sees the PRM extending into hospitals’ mainstream revenue cycle management operations. “With a growing uninsured population and the advent of consumerism and high-deductible health plans, hospitals are looking to their financial systems to help them further minimize financial risk. We believe we can provide them with a key component of an end-to-end patient financial management solution. Accordingly, we’ve designed our application in a Microsoft™ SQL™ server environment using a .NET™ framework to ensure compatibility with our clients’ patient accounting and predictive modeling applications.” Rapoport added that the application is fully HIPAA compliant.
