Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) today announced that it has received notification from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri that its motion to dismiss has been granted regarding a previously filed shareholder lawsuit. The Consolidated Class Action Lawsuit dismissed by the Court was originally two separate class action lawsuits filed in July 2006 and August 2006, respectively.

The lawsuit alleged Centene did not properly disclose certain financial details, thus impacting its share price.

St. Louis-based Centene provides managed care programs and BPO services to individuals under Medicaid through state governments. It operates health plans in Georgia, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin.
