Gila, through its business unit, Municipal Services Bureau (MSB), announced Thursday it has been selected by the City of Philadelphia to provide outsourced collections services on a number of its delinquent accounts. This is just one of several collection contracts MSB currently has in the City.
“We are delighted to expand our reach in Philadelphia with this new agreement. It has been our pleasure to work on the City’s behalf to collect for various entities, and we intend to continue delivering exceptional results,” said Bruce Cummings, CEO of MSB. MSB will work for the City to collect some of its delinquent water accounts and its court judgments for excess false alarms and code violations.
“We chose Municipal Services Bureau after an extensive competitive process,” said Daniel Cantú-Hertzler, Chair of the Corporate and Tax Group of the City’s Law Department. “We were impressed by their presentation of its collections methodology, its reported results for other governments, and its strong commitment to ethics,” he added.
“MSB works exclusively with government agencies, and our unique experience enables us to find solutions to improve recovery rates and generate revenue for our clients,” Cummings added.
