Pressler and Pressler, LLP, a law firm with its main office in Parsippany, New Jersey, just completed its food drive campaign on May 21, 2012.  In less than 60 days, the employees at the law firm donated over 3,800 items – representing over 3,600 pounds of food.

“Being able to give back to the community was the driving force behind the highly successful food drive,” said Joanne D’Aurizio, an attorney at the firm and chairperson of this year’s food drive committee.  To make the food drive more exciting, employees were offered “dress down” days at the firm in exchange for their donations and several gift cards were raffled off.  “The food drive is just one of the charitable activities that Pressler and Pressler participates in each year,” said Glen Chulsky, a Partner at the firm and a member of the food drive committee.

The collected food was donated to the Interfaith Food Pantry and Resource Center in Morris Plains, New Jersey.  The Interfaith Food Pantry provides emergency and supplemental groceries to approximately 12,000 Morris County individuals annually.  “We were amazed at how much food was collected by the firm over the course of their drive”, said Carolyn Lake, Assistant Director of the Pantry.  “It’s heartwarming to see this level of generosity by all of the employees at the firm, and Joanne’s incentives were brilliant as a way to encourage participation.  Their collective efforts will mean food on the table for the thousands of people right here in our community who are struggling to make ends meet.”
