TechPoint, Indiana’s economic development initiative focused on technology and entrepreneurship, awarded Ontario Systems the Mira Award for Excellence in Corporate Information Technology, recognizing it as one of the state’s high-tech success stories during its annual Mira Awards gala held May 7, 2011 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.
The judges selected Ontario Systems for the Excellence in Corporate Information Technology because of the company’s overall commitment to demonstrated quality standards and certifications in development and security, as well as creation of Collect SAVVY, its game-changing accounts receivable software solution. Collect SAVVY is the first product in the accounts receivable industry built on the Microsoft CRM platform. The powerful, innovative software is designed to provide agencies the flexibility and intelligence needed to expedite collections.
The Mira Awards identify the most innovative and successful firms in information technology, as well as technology-focused companies in industries like advanced manufacturing and logistics, health and life sciences, and clean technology. Gazelle Awards are given to fast-growing startup companies that have been in business for only a few years, as well as awards highlighting educators and institutions that help connect technology and learning.
“The startup environment, and tech sector as a whole, in Indiana is stronger than ever because our tech sector has developed a deep and interesting sense of innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Wil Davis, past chairman of TechPoint, who delivered opening remarks at this year’s Mira Awards. “We’re not just ‘doing pretty good for Indiana’ anymore. We’ve kicked that aw-shucks mentality to the curb and planted our leadership flag on the global stage.”
