Western New York-based receivables management company and Sallie Mae subsidiary Pioneer Credit Recovery today announced that it has been named one of Training Magazine’s "Training Top 125" for 2007. The award is considered the most elite ranking among Fortune 500 companies for training and learning development.

"Training, compliance and security are top priorities at Pioneer Credit Recovery," said Marty Mazur, Director of Learning and Development. "We have a responsibility to our clients to develop a well-trained, competent and confident workforce that achieves best-in-class business results. This award is a tribute to the outstanding efforts of our entire training team who continue to raise the bar and develop new programs so that all of our employees receive the first-rate training they need to succeed."

One of the distinguishing elements of Pioneer Credit’s training program noted by Training Magazine was the company’s development and implementation of their new hire training program, ‘The Collector’s Performance Edge.’ The superior training and development of new hires through the program has increased the company’s productivity and ability to ramp-up employment at its locations throughout Western New York. The company has experienced dramatic growth since 2001, expanding from one site with 300 employees to seven sites with nearly 1,400 employees.

The Training Top 125 is a ranking of organizations that excel at human capital development, as determined each year by Training magazine. The ranking process is based on a rigorous evaluation of quantitative and qualitative data that assesses the quality and extent of training and development programs provided to employees, the financial investment in employee development, best practices and outstanding training initiatives, and training effectiveness measurement. According to the magazine, there is an enormous amount of investment, dedication, and commitment to learning and development excellence within the Top 125 companies.
