Collection agency Account Control Technology, Inc. (ACT) recently received the distinct honor of Goodwill’s “Employer of the Year” designation. Goodwill Industries of South Central California presented ACT representatives this distinguished award at their annual dinner and awards reception held May 3rd in Bakersfield, California.
The Goodwill Employer-of-the-Year Award recognizes ACT for its continual demonstration of outstanding concern and support for individuals in the Kern County community who are disabled or who have experienced other barriers to employment and for taking affirmative steps to provide employment opportunities for those individuals.
“ACT is proud to partner with Goodwill,” says HR Generalist Claudia Todd. “Goodwill’s training facility provides countless individuals with opportunities they may not have had otherwise. I am very impressed with the quality of employees we are seeing come through their program.” Todd attended the award reception along with ACT’s Senior Division Manager, Scott DeWitt.
This honor comes at an exciting time for ACT. In the face of extreme economic downturn, ACT has experienced significant growth over the past several years and continues to expand its workforce exponentially each year.
