Executive Change: Gary Hopkins to GC Services' Student Loan Division

GC Services Limited Partnership, a leading provider of call center and collection solutions, announced today that Mr. Gary Hopkins has joined its executive team as Senior Vice President to lead the company’s newly-defined and specialized Student Loan Division.

GC Services’ Student Loan Division will include guaranteed student loan clients, as well as the U.S. Department of Education contract.

“As a tenured industry veteran, Gary brings over 15 years of experience and a cohesive leadership approach to this division,” said GC Services’ Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jerold B. Katz. “I am pleased that Gary decided to join GC after leaving the U.S. Department of Education. His expertise in this industry is an invaluable asset to our company.”

Most recently, Mr. Hopkins spent nine years working for the U.S. Department of Education attaining the position of General Manager, FSA Borrower Services. During his tenure with the U.S. Department of Education, Mr. Hopkins was the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious award of the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Executives, and was named as one of the Top 50 Collections Professionals for 2005 & 2006 based on his leadership in the debt collection industry.
